– North West Passage

Tik nedaugeliui buriuotojų pavyko sėkmingai nuplaukti Šiaurės Vakarų keliu ir dabar šią galimybą iš Australijos per Šiaurės Amerikos šiauriausią dalį pasiekti Lietuvą turi ir Lietuvos buriuotojai.

Australijos lietuvis Algio Dičiūno regia tokią kelionę ir kviečia prie jos prisijungti.


Australai labai laukia 2-4 įgulos narių iš Lietuvos. Jie neturi rėmėjų, todėl kelionę reikės patiems finansuoti. Jei plaukti visą maršrutą, kaina būtų apie 5000 Australijos dolerių žmogui. Plius lėktuvo bilietai į Australiją.


Kol kas tik nedaugeliui pavyko įveikti North-West Passage. Čia lietuviai galėtų patraukti dėmesį.

  3. Same as 2. except going around King William Island and stopping at Gjoa Haven one night, Nuuk Greenland.

  4. Same as 2 and 3 above then Bello Str (if clear) into Prince Regent Inlet, Lancaster Sound, Baffin Bay Davis Str, Nuuk Greenland.

   5. Length of stay in Nome is dependant on ice melt in the North West Passage.
   6.It is a tentative passage plan and is subject to change, noting arrival dates are subject to weather conditions.
   7.Two options for crossing North West Passage subject to ice melt after departing Barrow:
   8.Other options from Nuuk Greenland to Klaipeda are:


    *Nuuk to Bergen Norway then to Klaipeda ( 2day stop over)
    *Nuuk to Gotenberg Sweden then Klaipeda (2 day Stop over)
    *Nuuk to Klaipeda non stop.


RETURN PASSAGE TO SYDNEY


The following Options are for consideration. The decision will be made before or after the arrival in Klaipeda. (not in priority order)


   1. Depart early November 2011 and return via Cape Horn (East to West) then via Tahiti.
   2. Depart early November 2011 and return via Cape Town.
   3. Depart early November 2011 and return via Suez Canal, Red Sea
   4. Depart early November 2011 and return via Panama Canal.
   5. Winter Yacht in Klaipeda and attempt return in 2012 via Arctic (top of Russia) , Bering Strait, Osaka Japan, Solomon Islands, Sydney
   6. Winter Yacht in Klaipeda and return in 2012 via options 1, 2, 3 or 4 above.
   7. Would consider any additional proposal by Lithuanian Sailing Association.

   1. Item 5 above would require Lithuanian Sailing Association (LSA) support to obtain passage clearances.
